We are not a trend factory. We are a small studio that would rather make 200 pieces you will keep than 2,000 you will forget.
How Arvento started
It began at a kitchen table with a sketchbook, a borrowed sewing machine, and a frustration with paying import prices for prints everyone else already owned.

2021
A sketchbook and a plan
Two friends start drawing prints they could not find in Colombo. The first ten pieces sell out to people they know.

2022
The Kandana studio
A single room becomes a cutting table, a photo corner and a packing bench. Small-run production becomes the whole point, not a limitation.

2023
Islandwide, properly
Cash on delivery and bank transfer, tracked dispatch to all 25 districts. Arvento stops being a Colombo thing.

2024
A house of prints
Sixty original prints in the archive. Co-ord sets, dresses and the batik line that people now ask for by name.

What we hold to
Designed in-house
Every print, neckline and hem is decided by our own team. If you have seen it before, it did not come from us.
Small-run production
We cut limited quantities per style. When a size sells through, that is usually the end of it — your piece stays a little rare.
Considered materials
Breathable cottons and blends chosen for Sri Lankan heat first, photographs second.

From the studio in Kandana to any address on the island — COD or bank transfer, your call.
From sketch to studio

Draw
A print starts as pencil, then paint, then a repeat we test at scale before it ever touches fabric.

Sample
One garment, made and worn around the studio for a week. Fits get adjusted until they sit right on real bodies.

Cut small
A short production run — enough to photograph, list and dispatch, rarely more.

Send
Pressed, tagged and packed by the same people who designed it, dispatched within two working days.
